The Acton Historical Society has many items that shed light on Acton history and its people. Digitizing and photographing are ongoing projects. Here you can find a sampling of what is available in our collections.

Photographs

Jenks Library has an extensive collection of images of Acton's people, places, and events, in a number of forms including photographs, postcards, glass plates, slides, and negatives.

Documents

Many documents are available for research at Jenks Library, including town reports, deeds, letters, memoirs, billheads, genealogies, and much more.

Newspapers

Jenks Library has a number of issues of unique local newspapers that provide glimpses of Acton history that are unavailable elsewhere.

Stories about our Items

The Society owns a large number of objects of relevance to Acton's history. You can view many of them during our open hours and special exhibits. Some objects have led to research projects that are described in our blog page.
