Jenks Library
The Albert R. and Mabel G. Jenks Library preserves, stores and displays the Acton Historical Society's extensive collection of historical books and papers. These materials include diaries, maps, legal and business records, scrapbooks, town reports, letters, photographs, postcards, historical records, and ephemera related to Acton's history, families and businesses. The Jenks Library also maintains histories and some genealogical information for surrounding towns.
Materials in the collection do not circulate, but scanning and photocopying are available at the discretion of the Library staff. |
Location and Hours of Operation
Hours: The Library is open every Monday and Wednesday (except for holidays) from 9-11 AM. If traveling from a distance or if the weather is questionable, it is advisable to email ahead to make sure that a Society volunteer will be there on the day you want to visit.
Location: The Library is located behind the Hosmer House at 300 Main St. in Acton, MA. Parking is available in the Hosmer House parking area. See the map on our Visit page.
